The Scutt’s Intro!

We are the Scutt Family. Both my husband Jade and myself, Crystal, have a deep love for children at the core of our hearts. We are both educators and working with and loving children is our calling in life.

Before we ever had any children of our own, adoption was something we both had spoke about considering in our life.  Since then we have been blessed with our two beautiful children, Nya and Adam. We know we are done having our own children but do not feel done having children all together or done building our family. For awhile we were trying to figure out what this meant for us and how it looked; we trusted to follow God’s plan and what he had in mind for us. 

We love children and hope to provide a stable forever home for a child who does not have one. We understand it might not be the easiest route but are willing to do anything necessary. We are committed to putting the child first in all of our thoughts, actions and love. 

We are hoping to adopt a child from South Africa. I (crystal) have worked with a community in Malawi, Africa for 8 years now and spent time there in July 2017. I absolutely fell in love with the country and the people and we felt a calling and purpose connected with Africa.

We are very excited about the future of our family. There have been hurdles along the way already but we seem to have made it past each bump in the road so far. This summer, after completing our home study, we received a call from ABBA that our grant was approved. The day that this happened lifted our hearts, our stress and our decision making regarding the next step of our process. We are so thankful. From our family to yours, thanks for being part of our journey. We thank God for guiding us along this journey and being present for us along the way.
